hello, everyone, happy new year. I visit a site regularly and have been doing so for over a year now. Avast didnt really block anything there. But I happened to accidently click an ad there this week sometime and avast has been showing the red pop-up where it is trying to block different urls trying to enter my computer. I havent visited those sites, but it shows a message sayign that avast blocked —"xxxx’’ site from openin on your computer or something like that. the pop-up also shows that they are DEANEDWARD embedded sites. What do I do? should i upgrade to a higher protection? Is there something that entered my pc when I had accidently clicked the ad? I am scared. Please let me know.
If avast has blocked the access to that site, no problems, you’re secure.
Anyway, why don’t you run a full system scanning? ![]()
In addition to Tech’s suggestion, I would clean the web browser’s cache, cookie and those sort of things.
