I see other people are getting this TROJAN JS:Blacole-AV on various sites today, where AVAST is blocking a trojan horse from executing. We are getting it as well, but ONLY on an employer’s site (a place with 70,000 employees and a full IT department that says there is no problem on their end and we are the only ones to call).
---->PLEASE NOTE: I already saw the posts where it says there has been a fix update from Avast that you have to manually update, and some people are reporting problem is fixed, HOWEVER, despite manually updating I am STILL having the same problem (still with just this one site) on both Firefox and IE<----
It is now about 1:15pm USA eastern time, and I have been trying various fixes since 7am this morning NONE of which worked (uninstalling/reinstalling/updating/virus scanning everything). Nothing at all picks up a problem except this Avast alert when going to that site (and obviously cannot login to that site as long as it is doing this).
Thanks for any ideas you may still have since the manual update did not work for me.
----> UPDATE: After posting above my computer froze up and I was forced to do a hard shut down and restart, and since doing so, the website no longer shows the Trojan horse blocking it…SO…if other people manually updated and are still having problems, try restarting the system (I was never prompted to)…that worked for me as of now. THANKS.
