I don’t understand why this would be happening for you and not others - if avast was blocking these there should at least be an avast alert or message window and you don’t appear to be getting that. Not to mention having added the URLs to the web shield exclusions, this is weird.
What operating system are you using ?
You could try disabling the AOS (Avast On-line Security) browser plugin in your browsers and see if that makes any difference.
Malware removal help is done in Viruses and Worms forum section
At top in that section you find instructions on how to get the logs “Logs to assist in cleaning malware”
I am having similar problems with Gibson Research Corporation Dot Com, the creator of SpinRite for maintaining the health of Hard Drives as well as ShieldsUp, and many other SECURITY type of software. His site at one time was http://grc.com and is NOW https://www.grc.com. Have made entries within the exclusion areas for Settings/General/Exclusions and Active Protection/Web Shield Custom without any success. Have also run full as well as Boot Time scans AND Malwarebytes Pro full scan and Chameleon without finding any issues.
So far that is the only site giving this issue so am NOT blaming Avast for this just wondering if there can be another suggestion?
Excuse me, only read the first line of the ERROR for GRC dot com, I use FirFox v38.0.5 here is the error page:
Secure Connection Failed
"An error occurred during a connection to www.grc.com. The OCSP response is not yet valid (contains a date in the future). (Error code: sec_error_ocsp_future_response)
The page you are trying to view cannot be shown because the authenticity of the received data could not be verified.
Please contact the website owners to inform them of this problem."
NOW my question, “How do you contact the owner of any webpage you cannot access?”
I tried disabling the AOS and the results are the same.
I doubt that it is malware, I do regular scans with Avast (Previously Norton) & Malwarebytes and I keep the OS and programs updated. Plus the computer (Surface 3) is less then two months old.
Not that it matters because a computer can get infected in couple of minutes let alone a couple of months.
Yes the date, year, time and timezone are all correct.
Posting in a yeart old thread isn’t of any help. Things have changed during the year.
Please start your own topic and describe you problem in detail so we can help you.
