Avast Internet Security: It is blocking an Eye-Fi memory card that transmits media to my PC. There has been no notification when the card is blocked, and I cannot find any logs. How can that happen? ???
How do you know it is avast then?
You can test it by temporily disabling avast shields & firewall.
Personally, I think if it’s avast! then it will be most likely the Firewall in this case.
You can disable shields/firewall by right clicking the avast! tray icon and disabling them.
Make sure to RE-ENABLE after you have tested.
When I disable the shields, the card works. When I don’t, it does not.
Thanks.
More precisely, if I take a photo it should upload to the PC automatically, but it doesn’t. But the moment that I disable the shields, it does.
According to Eye-Fi, other users have reported problems with Avast!. It seems like there should be some kind of notification, at least.
Thanks.
Ashley
Have you set exclusions with the affected program?
I don’t think avast! is blocking it to be honest but if it works without the shields, avast! must be the culprit.
