Blocking Malware in Hotmail/Outlook/Live.com?

This topic, http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=75641.msg625941, is from April 2011 for the Avast IS, but it is similar to my problem. I have the free Avast Antivirus, and I’ve always been able to login to my Hotmail account (with secured HTTP) before. Tonight, Avast AV had block 6 or more “malicious malware” when I logged into Hotmail/Outlook/Live.com. They seem to be all scripts, and I can’t operate my email account afterwards (none of the basic buttons work). If I didn’t happen to remember the special webpage address Live.com uses to logout, I couldn’t even log-out.

Any help would be appreciated.

hotmail/outlook is getting mail blocked on the Windows 7 32 bit machine but not my Mac. Is the a false or a true virus. When I turn off AVast the ads on the left turn up

same here, both with firefox and chrome.

Me too! Never a problem until today.

I have exactly the same problem, everytime I log in I get about 5 notifications of malware and then I can’t do anything in hotmail. Dear Avast, please fix this or tell us what we need to do

Hello,
post screenshot of avast!'s alert window, please.

Milos

Same problem: Avast is blocking hotmail scripts and disabling hotmail function. I’ve gotten it repeatedly over the last hour for both Chrome and MS Internet Explorer browsers (latest editions). I’m using the Avast Pro Antivirus which just updated itself the other day.

I’m getting messages like these:

Infection Details
URL: https://bay171.mail.live.com/default.aspx?id
Process: C:\Program Files (x86)\Google\Chrome\Application\chrome.exe
Infection: HTML:Script-inf

It should be fixed now.

Thanks! Working normally now.

Thank you, Milos! ;D
