blue screen at boot after update

hello,
I have update avast! but when I reboot my computer , it stop and display a blue screen but without text.
if I reboot my computer with the reset button there are no problems.

Do you have the solution ?

So it only happened once? (you’re saying after a reboot, everything’s OK).

BTW what operating system are you using?

I get the blue screen when I normally start my computer.
When I get it I restart the computer with the reset button
it asks me if I want the normal mode or the no check mode , I choose the no check mode and windows start normally

I tried to uninstall avast! and all works perfectly.

I’m running on windows XP.

Please send me couple of the neweset files from the \windows\minidump folder (the crash minidumps). This should tell us what’s going on here.
