Blue screen of death because of avast

First post sorry if I did something wrong.
I love avast, and I really want to use it but after I upgraded my windows to 8. I started to get Blue screen of death

driver irql not less or equal ndis.sys

With this error

After i disabled avast It stooped
So any suggestions to fix this problem

  1. Download avast! Free Antivirus: http://files.avast.com/iavs5x/avast_free_antivirus_setup.exe
  2. Follow instructions: http://www.avast.com/uninstall-utility (Run this tool for all prior installed avast! versions…!!)
  3. Reinstall avast! with the downloaded installer from point 1.
  4. Reboot.

But
I am so tired of tweaking stuff in linux that i want a haste free experience! for some time at least. that is why i got windows, I will try other security systems and if I will not like them then i will try to tweak it.
how can i report this as a bug or do devs see this forum ??

I do not understand how dose windows work I thought reinstating software was not real

How did it work now and did not work before, It was a clean install !!

any way thank you it works for now at least :slight_smile: no bsod

Hello!

I had the same problem. I have Windows 8 and after installing avast! 8.0.1489 the error "driver irql not less or equal error " appears.

I have read that there is a patch for older versions but nothing for version 8.0.1489. Can anyone help me?
