Blue screen when starting bluestacks (17.7.2314)

Someone got the same problem as the link below:
https://social.msdn.microsoft.com/Forums/vstudio/en-US/13443802-206b-403a-bfe7-06373b152824

ksh48851 in this post have similar problem:
https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=209428.msg1424590#msg1424590

I’ve tried to deactivate service reputation and cyber capture mentioned in first link but it didn’t work.

There may be something wrong between Avast 17.7.2314 and Android emulators (e.g. Bluestacks, Nox)

I restore my computer to Avast 17.7.2310 and the emulator is working perfectly.

But I still have to solve this problem, or I could never update Avast.

I look forward to your response, thanks!

Follow instructions: https://www.avast.com/faq.php?article=AVKB33#artTitle

Please disable nested virtualization in troubleshooting settings till fix gets released.

I’m gonna keep using 17.7.2310 till next build released cause I don’t wanna restore again.
I’ll try your suggestion if it happens in the future.
Thanks anyway!

The version you say you will use is 17.6.2310, I would certainly recommend you try what Spec8472 (Avast Team) suggested easier than going back to 17.6.2310. If for no other reason to prove that that resolves the problem (a workaround) untill the next program update is released.

You’re right, it should be 17.6.2310.

I’ve restored to 17.6.2310 when I post this topic.
If I update to 17.7.2314 but his suggestion doesn’t work, I’ll have to restore my computer again.
Otherwise I absolutely try it.

Thanks anyway

NickYou, your problem is BSOD on Bluestacks start, or Bluestacks unable to start its Android VM? If its BSOD, can you please provide the kernel memory dump?

Hello, I was using Nox and was getting blue screen’d too and deactivating this option fixed. I will keep checking this thread to see when a fix for that option comes up

Please can you specify OS and CPU.

This issue is new.

Windows 10 Profissional and it’s an i5-4690k, also I noticed that the emulators are running better with some apps after I disabled that option so I am guessing I might not even use that thing anymore

Sorry for the late reply. And it’s Yu, my last name btw.

My Bluestacks cannot start engine as in the image below.
When I press “Yes” or restart its engine manually, the BSOD happend after a few second.

How can I provide the kernel memory dump?

This is not the screenshot of mine.
I am using Chinese version so I found English one which may be easier to understand.

Thank you for info, the issue is already fixed in internal builds. The fix will be delivered next week.

why is it not being pushed now i had to change antivirus completely to stop the blue screens didn’t matter if i rolled back unistalled went to the free avast it still crashed

Disable nested virtualization in Avast troubleshooting settings as workaround. Reboot is required after changing the option.
