My Windows 7 computer hasn’t been connected to the internet in a LONG time, nor have I used any removable media on it besides a camera and a external hard drive that I know are both safe (trust me on this). I read a bit on “Windows Help and Support” that digital cameras can somehow cause these “corrupt files”? I’d assume that was the problem since I just connected a Safe/Non-Malwared camera (That hasn’t been used on any other PCs) to the computer a little while ago.
Another thing is I’ve been playing a game on the PC too, so maybe it “over heated” or “corrupted” some file?

Sorry for the long post, basically all I want to know is if this problem was caused by malware? Or not? Of course I’m pretty dumbfounded when it comes to computer mechanics etc…

One last thing, both the times I’ve got the errors they popped up right after I put in my password and turned the computer on. Also since my computer isn’t connected to the internet, I’d rather not connect it to check for solutions because my family’s computer has been having malware problems. Sorry.

Thanks in advance.

hey Misuzu. your problem sounds like it could be malware related or that the hardrive could have crased.

i suggest you do a scan with malwarebytes antimalware.

http://www.filehippo.com/download_malwarebytes_anti_malware/

and OTL

http://oldtimer.geekstogo.com/OTL.com

Download OTS to your Desktop
Close ALL OTHER PROGRAMS.
Double-click on OTS.exe to start the program.
Check the box that says Scan All Users
Check the box that says 64 bit
Under Additional Scans check the following:
Reg - Disabled MS Config Items
Reg - Drivers32
Reg - NetSvcs
Reg - SafeBoot Minimal
Reg - Shell Spawning
Evnt - EventViewer Logs (Last 10 Errors)
File - Lop Check

Under the Custom Scan box paste this in

%USERPROFILE%..|smtmp;true;true;true /FP
%SYSTEMDRIVE%*.exe
/md5start
volsnap.*
explorer.exe
winlogon.exe
Userinit.exe
svchost.exe
/md5stop
%systemroot%*. /mp /s
hklm\software\clients\startmenuinternet|command /rs
hklm\software\clients\startmenuinternet|command /64 /rs
CREATERESTOREPOINT

Now click the Run Scan button on the toolbar.
Let it run unhindered until it finishes.
When the scan is complete Notepad will open with the report file loaded in it.
Click the Format menu and make sure that Wordwrap is not checked. If it is then click on it to uncheck it.
Please attach the log in your next post

good luck.
