Blue window doesn't appear ?

The automatic updating regularly works, but after updating blue window doesn’t appear above system tray zones.
Is this function supported in win98?
Thanks

OS Win98, Avast Pro 4.1.418, VPS 439-0

Did you change avast4.ini file?
You can browse ‘Settings’ (link on my signature) and search for blue panel…
I’m sure it’s supported in Windows 98

Thanks Technical. I have not touched the file ini.
It is this the key ?
SuppressUpdatedInfo-- 1---- Suppress the small blue info window in the notification area of your desktop on updating; Show it = 0

Yeah!
I was lazy to ‘found’ them and you were very quickly

Thanks, will check tomorrow because it is another PC, not my.
Talk to you soon.

I use W98SE and have always gotten the blue box after updates. So, yes this feature is supported in W98.

Somehow, the setting got changed, I suppose.

I have checked the avast4.ini file and I have not found them the voice that imposes the blue window.
(On the PC in matter the file .ini is different of that explained by Technical.)
For this motive I have reinstalled the Avast and now it seems to work.
Thanks for the assistance.

Use my avast! External Tool and check the General Tweaker function…

Thanks RejZoR,
My compliments for the tool.
I will try it.

Please, read the first post at that thread: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=2;action=display;threadid=1647

Warning: some of the information bellow should be added to the avast4.ini file as new items in the appropriate section, I mean, not all the itens exist already and can be merely modified by editing. You should add them if you want or need.

You must add or change it.

Hey avast! users!
I’m right now working on almost new 90 tweaks on avast4.ini file.
Wait and enjoy!

OK, has understood now. When it comes with file ini, for precaution, I don’t want to touch so much, and then I have preferred to reinstall.
Thanks however for the explanation.
PS:
The key I had found fast because I have not read beginning of the thread. ::)Excuse.
