Hello, I’ve been getting several boot BSOD in the last months, usually on my first boot attempts in the morning… It has caused me to lose a lot of work.
BSODs info:
aswsp.sys (page_fault_in_nonpaged_area / memory…)
software:
Windows XP SP3
Avast Free 6.0.1289 (fully updated)
I have attached the zip file (txt + dmp): bmv85511.0.zip renamed as log.

Try:
Avast main GUI → settings → troubleshooting → “load Avast service only after other system services”.
Also, if you HAD other AV tools before, you need to run the specific removal utility for that program, better yet under Windows Safe Mode. Find several of them at : http://thewebatom.net/uninstallers/security-software/.
So far it looks solved. No other AV was installed before, so I just checked the box you said.
