So, I scheduled a boot scan, but it crashes(HD’s fault, already confirmed)at some point. So, it crashes, I boot the PC and the scan is there. Is there anyway to cancel the boot scan? Like a key combo? Thanks in advance.
Clicking ‘ESC’ interrupts the scanning.
Are you saying that each time you boot a new boot time scanning is performed?
Yeah, that’s what’s happening with me. Thought it would be a combo of keys, but yeah, just “esc”. ![]()
In XP, if you press F8 when starting Windows and select ‘Last known good configuration’ from the boot menu, the boot scan should not be started.
