I’ve been getting this error since the last two occasions while performing a boot scan:
*File C:\WINDOWS\system32\winijoe.dll Error 3221225506
*I get this error right at the end of the scan.

One more thing I’d like to mention here:
I had to format my hard drive 3-4 days ago… did a clean install of XP Home SP1… then avast home edition with latest definations… then installed XP SP2… since then avast has been tracking so many different viruses, trojans, malware, etc… which is really weird… I mean, first of all OS is freshly installed and I hardly sat on the internet, and it caught 3 viruses yesterday, before tht it caught like 3 infected files while performing a boot scan, and even today, I ran boot scan and it came up with 3 newly infected files. I dunno, what’s going on, but I’ve deleted all those files.
The real concern for me right now is, how come my system got infected with so many viruses like tht in like 2-3 days of OS installation… and I hardly logged on to the internet other than downloading SP2. Sounds fishy, NO? :-\
Hope this help:

Did you confirm any of those viruses with an online scaner to rule out a possibility of a false positive?
I still don’t get it. What will I’ve to do???
What about the links I’ve posted? Did you follow them?
Did you try to repair the avast installation through Control Panel (add/remove programs applet)?
Can you update your avast manually?
