It found a bug and could not kill it, So I told it to scan during boot, it rebooted and now i only have a BIOS Spash screen, I do have a drive light lit, is it running under the splash screen, and will it ask for anything?

We need some more details. Could we get the operating system (Windows 98, XP or Vista) and computer “make and model,” please. 
Does the system look for boot sectors (in disks) in the various drives after the BIOS screen? If so, what is the message, if any?
