Boot scan, thorough scan and Avast screen saver...

Recently, I set my screen saver to Avast, which does an AV check when the screen saver appears. Two trojans were found using that method, but when I set it for a boot scan, and also did a thorough (all files and archives) scan weeks and days earlier, the trojans were never detected. The files were several years old.

Is there a default setting in the Avast screen saver scan that I’ve missed in my other scans. or is the setting the same as my thorough scan setting?

Is there a way to tweak the boot scan?

It shouldn’t be different in Home version if I remember correctly.
Are you using the Professional version?

Do you remember what the full path of the detected files was? (You may be able to find it in avast! Log Viewer, Warning cathegory.)
