Boot Sectors and the MBR

I am running Windows 2000 Pro SP 4 and Avast 4 Home Edition 4.0-235. Does Avast 4 Home Edition scan boot sectors and the MBR on the local hard drive?

avast! scans MBR and all boot sectors on your computer when you select “All harddrives” as areas to be scanned. If you are using Proffesional Edition you can view history of tested files by editing task properties - there is feature to store all results of task in its settings.
