Boot-Time Scan definitions will not load since Windows 10 upgrade

Hi,

Have had a Windows 10 upgrade to my Home addition, version 1809 with the OS build 17763.253

Since then the Boot-Time scan definitions will not load, the bar keeps going back and forward, this also happens occasionally with the normal virus definitions update.

Is this a know issue?

I have re-installed Avast but it still does it with the latest installation.

Any help appreciated.

Have you tried repair and reboot?

Hi,

Tried, re-installing Avast, re-booting, just about everything I can think of but it still does not update the Boot-Time definitions, also has started not updating the regular virus definitions.

If Repair doesn’t fix the problem, try the following:
If your Avast settings are not the default settings and you want them restored after the Clean Install, follow this before removing Avast.
