I was having boot time scan with my AC adapter but I accidentally shut it down. Now, windows won’t start. However, I can get into safe mode. What should I do?!! Please help me!
I tried again and again I managed to start windows but it keeps being ‘not responding’. Safe mode is ok. So, what should I do? Thanks in advance.
From safe mode please run the following programme and I will see if I can see where the error is
Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.
Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.
[*]Right click to run as administrator (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File). When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Select additions at the bottom
[*]Press Scan button.

[*]It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from.
[*]Please attach all 2 logs generated.
DUDE!! Before I downloaded the program you requested me to, I turned on the laptop and it was working fine already. However, the CPU usage is like 90+ %. What should I do?
You follow instructions given…
Here are the logs you requested.
You still have Kaspersky installed
Remove it using this programme and let me know if the cpu load drops
I had Kaspersky before avast and did not have any problem. I suddenly had the problem which led me to install avast. Is there anything else you could think of? If no, then i’ll do so. Thanks.
Two antivirus programmes will fight like cat and dog, so it may be what is happening.

Thanks guys. I’ll try uninstalling avast first since I paid for Kaspersky. Your help is very much appreciated. ;D ![]()
