I hate being a stick in the mud but when it comes to functionality of my anti-virus, this is not good!!!
Cheers Bob!!!
PS@ This looks like the same memory exception and location as the last incident!!

igor…one of the avast! team persons had already stated we would have this problem off and on until the program update arrives.
The link below will give some insight into this already spoken on topic…
http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=30138.0

You know…avast! is one of the only software companies I know of that has this feature.
Try the information provided in the link if you need to recheck your system.
You can also try online scanners to check your system just to be certain everything is running smoothly.

Thanks for your promt reply, i think avast anti-virus is one of the best and i dont like seeing it operating in a defective manner, anyway i have put my 2 bobs worth in, will be waiting for the new model to address these issues!! Cheers Bob
Ps* Have been using avast for at least 8yrs, and i know that its reliable and trustworhty!!!

You’re welcome for sure.
Stick with avast! I know I am.

They’re a really good company and will only get better…of that I’m sure.

The last VPS update solved it for me. Woohoo! ;D

Thank you !!Avast team, Very good turn around time, hopefully this is the end of this matter,Cheers Bob!

Yes…the update yesterday did solve the problem.

It may however reappear…maybe not… as their is a program update in the making.
According to igor…after the program update…which should be sometime in September…the problem should be solved that we’re having with the boot sector scan.
