BootSafe's Whereabouts

Okay, this is really bugging me now.
I know I didn’t imagine this … or at least it remains to be seen.

I’m virtually certain that in my recent computer experiments, I saw one of my Apps have BootSafe as one of its Tools. Now I can’t seem to find it. I’ve checked CCleaner, Revo Uninstaller, Recuva, Speccy, MBAM and SAS and can’t seem to find which one had BootSafe in it somewhere.

Does anyone know which one of those Apps or any other App has BootSafe in it somewhere?

It is SAS, definitely not ccleaner, nor Speccy (no need as far as I’m aware) unless one of the others also has it.

Ahhhhh! Why yes! It’s the ole accessing it from the Start Menu trick, Eh? ;D
No wonder I couldn’t find it. I thought I was certain that in whatever App I had seen BootSafe, I had found it in its Tools category.

Now that that’s settled, I have a follow up question.
Say like when we have to Boot in Safe Mode for uninstalling avast, would one use the Minimal or the Networking option in BootSafe? Don’t worry. You can answer the question. I’m NOT dumping avast. ;D It’s just Info I want to know for in case there’s a problem and a Repair of avast doesn’t work and I have to perform a complete Uninstall and Reinstall.

It entirely depends on why you want to boot into safe mode as this is just an easy short cut to booting into safe mode. If you haven’t got a network or have no intention of accessing your network (or the internet) then there really wouldn’t be a need for anything other than Minimal.

Okay, then Minimal it is for avast uninstall purposes if and whenever they might arise.

Thanks, David!

You’re welcome.

I think SAS Bootsafe just modifies the ‘boot.ini’ file.
You can do that yourself via ‘msconfig’.

That would be over my head.
It’s much easier to just pop up SAS’ version. ;D
