I have used Avast Free home edition on several Windows XP computers with no problems. I recently bought a new computer with Vista and downloaded avast, registered. However, whenever I open avast and try to Schedule a boot up scan the option is greyed out and will not allow me to select it. I have tried to completely remove avast and reinstall. Any ideas. thanks

is there ever going to be a time when it will be available? like with the avast updates to go along with vista? I just recently bought a laptop with vista and having the same problem. It was really vital that I have that boot scan that was the main reason i really liked avast.
I am having this problem as well. I have been using Avast for a few years and absolutely love it. I recently built myself a new system (Phenom II X4 Black Edition) and am running XP 64-bit…I could really use a boot time scan right at the moment…
