"breakpoint has been reached’ means what did I do exactly please? while in safezone :-\

to know how to fix it,you have to know what caused it, and you are not giving any information of any kind.

Hi Mark…sorry I don’t know what caused breakpoint. All I can say was that I was in Safezone, looking around to get familiar with avast and suddenly the error message popped up…I cannot seem to highlight and select the message to show you…can you help me get a picture or something please? Wait, here is a photo…I hope this will help…Thanks

I would not however download the tool that’s recommended.
Certainly sounds like snake oil to me.

Thanks for all help…maybe I am not being clear…This was an issue that occurred in the AVAST program that I have installed. Specific to avast. Can anyone help me fix this avast issue please?

Was this a clean install or did you install over the top of a previous version ?
Do you have any other AV on the system

Try to repair Avast. Start-Control Panel-Add/Remove Programs-Avast and select “Repair” follow instructions and restart your PC. Do you still have problems with Safezone? If repair function doesn,t work you can try remove Avast /PRO,IS with aswclear.exe

How to use aswclear.exe.

Go to safe mode
Run aswclear.exe
Click remove and follow istuction
Restart your PC
Install latest version of Avast /PRO,IS (7.0.1466)
Restart your PC

Thanks all…I opened a ticket up and the reply I got was go to Safe Zone, then settings, then delete and reset. That worked. Of course it will delete any sites browsed in Safe Zone. So much trouble. the live techs that worked on my pc were absolutely NO help and I guess ya get what ya pay for… :-\

When you run the current version of aswclear, you’ll be asked to select your version to be removed.
Once that selection has been made, aswclear will request to restart in safe mode and remove the avast! version you selected.
Once completed, it will restart into regular mode and avast! will be history. :slight_smile:
