This “software” is showing up, apparently on Droid 3’s only, starting yesterday. It’s not listed in the Android Market and your software doesn’t mark it as malware. It also doesn’t seem to be uninstallable. Ideas?
More details would certainly help.
I don’t know much about it! One comment says it showed up on one person’s device after updating Verizon Backup Assistant. I never installed it, nor did anyone else.
Here are some images

Im running a DROID 3 with root, I have the same thing in my google play store. I searched my system via root explorer but found nothing. It appeared in my apps on the 25th and I cannot find the file.
Just FYI, my device was un-rooted (it’s a work device).
Okay, I might have found the problem, im rooted, so I did an image restore, and the brett Henderson app disappeared. In google play store under all apps, is “Backup assistant plus (phone)” Dev is Verizon Wireless. This does not show up in installed apps, only in the “all” tab. All my other apps are up to date. Unrooted users could try uninstalling the updates to “Backup assistant plus (phone)-Verizon Wireless.” Hope this works for you.
Tried that earlier (hours ago) based on a different thread. Didn’t work.
Might need to do a factory reset
Well its still there, now its called “souper android developer” and its under the “all” tab of google play store at the very bottom of the list.
*development
Its also on google play store online, but only if im signed into my google account does it appear, and it says “this app is incompatible with all of your devices” even though it is installed.
Could you post an image from the application page inside the Mobile Security in landscape orientation?
Although if it’s only on Verizon devices, I’m not sure we will be able to simulate it
