Thanks in advance all.
First it needs a sample to analyse in order to be able to include in the VPS file.
Second it would appear to be spyware whilst avast does detect spyware it isn’t a specialist spyware detector.
Third, I have no idea if avast detects it or not as malware isn’t identified by a file name but by a malware name. Since there is no standard naming convention for malware names, it may differer from company to company, so it is difficult to compare.
No single program is going to provide 100% protection so a multi-application approach to security with each program complimenting each other increasing
If you haven’t already got this software (freeware), download, install, update and run.
There are always going to be zero day malware and pro-active measures can help, in the case of this particular one a good firewall, it should be capable of blocking unauthorised outbound Internet Connections to transfer any collected information to a server.
Regardless of what the malware is it needs to get established, still the most common way is attachments in unsolicited emails, don’t open attachments or click links in unsolicited emails. They need to create registry entries, possibly put files in the system folders, take action to prevent that.
You might also consider proactive protection, in order to place files in the system folders and create registry entries you need permission. Prevention is much better and theoretically easier than cure.
Whilst browsing or collecting email, etc. if you get infected then the malware by default inherits the same permissions that you have for your user account. So if the user account has administrator rights, the malware has administrator rights and can reap havoc. With limited rights the malware can’t put files in the system folders, create registry entries, etc. This greatly reduces the potential harm that can be done by an undetected or first day virus, etc.
Check out the link to DropMyRights (in my signature below) - Browsing the Web and Reading E-mail Safely as an Administrator. This obviously applies to those NT based OSes that have administrator settings, winNT, win2k, winXP.
I have the sample copy of this virus or malware so how do I report it to the AVAST or AVG etc.?
Thanks.

Send it in a password protected zipped email to virus@avast.com. Include the password in the body of the email and which version of avast and vps, along with anyhting else you feel important. If it’s in the chest, send from there, no need to zip it.
Ok Thanks, I have already emailed the virus so lets hope AVAST is able to catch it in the furture.
