Had a home client call me about a weird issue. Long story short, the Avast browser add-in for Internet Explorer was bugging up website logins.

example: whilst trying to log in to their online banking page, they could input their username, click login, then they would get a “open, run, save as” pop up in the bottom. Only that windows didnt actually do anything. Didn’t affect Google Chrome.

Was this a bug that was confirmed for only one specific version of IE?
