Browser causing page crashes

I have Windows 98, I.E.6. Only on particular websites, i’m having constant trouble with that gray box that shows up reading “microsoft i.e. has encountered a problem and must close this page”, then the page crashes. When i called one of the site’s support number, they encountered no similar problems. What do i have to do to correct this problem?
Microsoft support is absolutely useless!

My other problem is pages that won’t download, particularly on the NFL and CBS Sportsline sites. When you click on certain links, all you get are blank white pages. How do i counteract this problem?

There is a known issue with some older versions of MSHTML.DLL.
You have to update this version of IE to not getting this browser error anymore, or download another version of MSHTML.DLL.
It happens when inside the browser a window is opened in the same page but for another domain,

Hi redben,

As MS has dropped support for Win98, you need to grab a copy of Firefox or Opera because IE on Win98 is going to be like Swiss cheese!
