Browser cleanup

Yesterday I capitulated and upgraded to the paid version of “Browser Cleanup” package from Avast.
Whatever it does, it just gets stuck:

  1. As soon as I purchased the upgrade yesterday, Avast initiated the Browser cleanup; once it got as far as (scanning?) the Registry, it was stuck on 0% for 8 hours until I eventually stopped it.
  2. “Smart scan” initiated by me this morning, has been stuck on 68% for 2 hours now!

I cannot find anywhere to address my complaints/queries except this forum.
I think I’ve been hoodwinked and if Avast does not perform as promised, I want my money back!

There is no paid version of the Browser CleanUp, it is freeware.

I believe you mean avast CleanUp which is a totally different product.
