Browser Companion Helper

Hi Guys,
I recently purchase the AVAST Internet Securty and it works fine, but few days ago i have find this “Browser Companion Helper” , which i find out is as a TROJAN.
Can anyone help me to get rid off this…I,ve heard about PC Tools Doctor Spy, but i dont want to install any thing i dont know, especially a product different then AVAST.
Can someone help me pls

This should kill it

Download AdwCleaner from here to your desktop
Run AdwCleaner and select Delete

Once done it will ask to reboot, allow this
On reboot a log will be produced please attach that

I,ve heard about PC Tools Doctor Spy,
as i understand PCtools want money to remove anything more then cookies

But we have a program called Malwarebytes that is very good to use alongside your AV…and does the job for free. just ask Essexboy what he think :wink:

As matter of fact i just found few more viruses…I just want to make sure this AV will take care of then…

  • Trojan.gen
  • Trackware.tracking cookies!rem
  • Application. trackingCookies
  • Adware.advertising

what program found what ?

avast and Malwarebytes does not scan for cookies…so what program detected this?

Run AdwClear first, attaching the log and I believe you are using SAS or PCTools as they do pretend that cookies are out to kill you
