browser hijack

Hello everybody,

I have a DVB-T usb stick for watching tv on my computer. Since I had a few problems I find a new driver on the net (it’s one of these cheap products that it’s very hard to find their drivers and even the company who provides them). I downloaded the driver and it arrives as a ZIP file. I scanned it before and after I extracted it and in both cases Avast reported that it’s clean. After I installed it my browser was hijacked by an adware of a local cable tv suplier :-[. I maneged to get rid of it quite easily, but the humiliation still hurts ;D. Anyway, I’d like to know where can I report it to Avast so they can analyze and solve it. I still have the link and the files.

If you have any suspicious files that are not detected by the latest version of our antivirus programs, you can send them to virus@avast.com. The ideal way to send such files is to compress them as a ZIP file with the password ‘virus’ (so that the attachment is not deleted by some other antivirus software on the way).

Thank you for your help.
