Browser Hijacked

seems to be from window update, and you get that reputation warning bc it is a new file … i would allow it
i think that file belongs to MSE … do you have MSE installed/running ?

the log experts dont work for avast, they are voulunteers and use there free time here helping, they also have a life outside this forum, work, family, different time zone … so be patient

Retreating to my corner… sorry :slight_smile:

Hi :slight_smile:

This seems is not malware related issue but I would like to fix something while you are here …

Open notepad and copy/paste the text present inside the code box below:

Registry::
[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run]
"Bomgar_Cleanup_ZD338054001"=-

Driver::
AtiDCM

RegLock::
[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\ControlSet001\Control\PCW\Security]
@Denied: (Full) (Everyone)

Save this as CFScript.txt

Close all browser windows and refering to the picture above.

Referring to the screenshot above, drag CFScript.txt into ComboFix.exe.
ComboFix will will re-run. When finished, it will produce a log for you.
Attach the contents of the log in your next reply. (typical location: C:ComboFix.txt )

I did what was described and program immediately updated so I hope I have done this right…

Excellent. How is your computer running now? Post me the fresh FRST.txt logreprot (by running FRST tool and press the Scan button)

All seems well except I still can`t connect my computer to avast… Do you think I should uninstall in safe mood and then reinstall the programme?

Yeah, as I sad, this isn’t malware related issue. I will remove my tools.

The following will implement some post-cleanup procedures:

=> Please download DelFix by Xplode to your Desktop.

Run the tool and check the following boxes below;

Remove disinfection tools

Create registry backup

Purge System Restore
Click Run button and wait a few seconds for the programme completes his work.
At this point all the tools we used here should be gone. Tool will create an report for you (C:DelFix.txt)

The tool will also record healthy state of registry and make a backup using ERUNT program in %windir%\ERUNT\DelFix
Tool deletes old system restore points and create a fresh system restore point after cleaning.

You might wanna re-try to uninstalla avast!, then run avast! uninstall utility and then with fresh setup re-install the AV.

Do you believe my issue might be hardware related magna86?

Try a new avast repair and reboot …

I have now removed all tools from my computer and uninstalled avast using their removal tool in safe mood then reinstalled… I still can`t connect my computer to my account. Completely lost as to why this is happening and what I can do about it.

UP DATE… I have now reset the Internet Protocol for TCP/IP and would you believe its seems to have fixed all my connections problems. Avast is now installed and connected and Im very happy :smiley: Big thank you to Pondus and magna86 for all your help and patience and please know I really appreciate all you both have done.
