I use Internet Explorer 8, it’s fast and stable if you don’t install so many add-ons (toolbar, BHO and…) on it.
Firefox is good because of add-ons that it support, for example ad-blocker and…
also I’ve seen so many user who like FF because of some add-ons like No-Script and… but anyway I prefer IE 8
Google Chrome is good for fast searching and slow internet connections, because it load fast and is light.
A browser is a tool and the one to use is the one you’re happy with.
Remember it’s not usually the browser that gets your system infected but rather
the places you take your browser too that make the difference. ;D
Much is down to personal preference and I prefer firefox, but security has to be a consideration.
The main reason I don’t use IE is because, a) activeX, b) BHOs and c) it is fully integrated into the OS, so any exploit of the browser could mean an exploit of the OS. Those are security considerations which you can go some way to reduce, but most people just the bog standard default settings.
If you conveniently forget about the appalling security record of zero-day exploits left unpatched for far too long, providing a Window of opportunity for malware attacks.
