My browsers are now very slow after the latest update (8.0.1483). I confirmed by disabling all shields temporarily.
I run Win7 x64, Chrome & IE 10.
Is Avast aware of this, and working on a fix?
I have also had this problem - My browser speed is now slower than a dail up (1.2mbps) WTF!
when I tried to reinstall Avast, it deleted my Subscription!
Same problem here. I have Win XP Pro and IE 8. Slowest it’sever been and it’s caually connected to Avast 8. Anyone know of any fixes?
One solution may be a full uninstall of Avast

Found solution (for me)
An old Avast solution worked for me (Avast 7)
Simply go to “windows Firewall” in control panel - select “restore defaults” and thats it - Mine works perfect again?
