BSOD 0x000000C5 - Memory error

I had a BSOD (Stop error 0x000000c5 - memory location error) on my Acer netbook, win7 32bit starter edition, whilst I’m not sure if avast was involved. Using avast free 7.0.1426 on my win7 system.

Though using BluescreenView, it did list some avast services namely the aswSnx.sys.

I have uploaded DavidR-dump-files.7z to the ftp location.

Caused by sandbox.sys (Agnitum Outpost Firewall).
It’s a bug in their driver (one function is called several times) and this may not be always correct. I’d suggest you to contact their support.

Thanks - Interesting as I had just updated to the latest version 7.5.3 of Outpost Firewall Pro a couple of days ago. No such problem with earlier 7.5.1 version (skipped 7.5.2) and no problem on XP Pro system.

So into the void of Agnitum Outpost Support ;D

Have fun. ;D

I have made a very basic report in their user-based support site outpostfirewall.com forum, but contacted support and uploaded the dump files also. Now it is a waiting game, thought the actual support ticket side isn’t too bad, their user-based support forum can be like watching paint dry.

What a world of difference to the avast forums ;D

Did you hear the chirping of crickets…? ;D
