Hi,

I’m running Win7, with Avast and Adaware on another computer and a few days after updating to ver. 6.1091 ( latest ) I having getting BSODs stating a problem with aswsp.sys, below is the msg, as follows:

   STOP: 0X00000050,(0xe58B5B76,0x00000000, 0x914B9203, 0x0000002)
   ASWSP.SYS: address 914B9203, base at 9148D000,
              datestamp 4d65202b

I can’t start that pc anymore, I googled aswsp.sys and it led me to an error with avast. I am running Win XP SP3 on this pc and so far everything still works also after updating to 6.1091.

Thanks for any assistance.

Hi,
can you reboot your PC in safe mode to uninstall the current avast version? Then run the avast Uninstall-Utility from here: http://www.avast.com/de-de/uninstall-utility
Then reboot your PC and install the avast-Version from here: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=77580.msg642267#msg642267
Don’t forget to reboot your PC after installation.

Thanks, you upgraded, but didn’t reboot the computer - so this dump is for 6.0.1091.0 version. But, it doesn’t matter, because this bug is new for me - would you mind to upload compressed kerneldump? Thanks!

According to datestamp, it said the dump is from 6.0.999 build. I found the place where it crashed and this bug should be fixed in 1119 build. Please update and let me know if it helps. Thanks.

???

i have version 1091 since the day it was released and i restarted OS at least 25 times since 1091 release

nvm, i wasn’t aware of new 1119 version

@pk i don’t have compressed kernel dump for this crash and i don’t know if i can replicate it

Hi,

Just upgraded to 6.0.1125 and so far everything seems ok.
