Okay so nvgts.sys came up as a virus and it was tossed in the chest by Avast. Now the computer wont start normally or in safe mode/
Running recovery console and restoring the boot.ini doesn’t help, or chkdsk. Everything is fine according to XP. The problem is the driver nvgts.sys is in the CHEST and locked away. How can I re-install the driver if I can’t even get to safe mode without BSOD.
Is there some way to remove that nvgts.sys from the chest in recovery console? Can I copy it back to it’s original location without starting xp?? I cannot use the regular restore as the computer will not start. Help!
