BSOD boot loop, unable to boot into Safe mode, stuck at aswrvrt.sys

Hello there,

I left my laptop on for like 5 hours, it was connected to a power source all the time. After I got back from school, my mother had closed the laptop because I begged her. I happily started the laptop and noticed something weird. A grey - was flicking at the top left for like 1 minutes. It then proceeded to Starting Windows screen. It took a minute to load it then all of sudden BSOD popped up. I couldn’t read since the BSOD appeared for like 0.5 seconds. I’m unable to boot normally, safe mode, safe mode with networking and safe mode with cmd. It is is smply stuck at aswrvrt.sys. I’m currrently writing this all from my phone. I’ve tried removing my dead battery etc. I’m out of ideas. Is my HDD broken? I got a lot of pictures of me and my family and it’d be kinda sad if the HDD was broken. Thanks in advance and apologies for my bad English

Do you have access to another computer and a USB drive ? Also what version of windows are you running

I don’t but I can arrange if needed. My laptop runs on Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. It’s a gaming laptop.

I also forgot to mention that I managed to get to desktop and run a program, but everything was so slow. Chrome kept crashing, programs and explorer. I then restarted and that happened ^^^

i see you have a windows mail account ? then you have free online backup https://onedrive.live.com/

Thanks, but there are backups from 2010/2011.

OK as you have managed to get to the desktop lets run a quick programme to see if I can spot the cause

Please download Farbar Recovery Scan Tool and save it to your Desktop.

Note: You need to run the version compatible with your system. If you are not sure which version applies to your system download both of them and try to run them. Only one of them will run on your system, that will be the right version.

[*]Right click to run as administrator (XP users click run after receipt of Windows Security Warning - Open File). When the tool opens click Yes to disclaimer.
[*]Select both shortcut and additions at the bottom
[*]Press Scan button.

[*]It will produce a log called FRST.txt in the same directory the tool is run from.
[*]Please attach all 3 logs generated.

I managed to get on desktop before that issue. Now I’m unable to get on desktop. Apologies for expressing myself badly.

Blank windows 7 screen with cursor. I can move the mouse, but no box comes up with “install windows” or “repair your system”
edit: everything seems to be slow. I’m on system recovery options screen. The cursor goes around like it’s loading or have crashed. Is it my HDD or just the recovery disk is slow?

Sounds like a hard drive error as the recovery disc should load very fast

How many hard drives are in the computer

One. Nothing is listed under operatinf system, the system recovery options window has crashed I think. I’ll let it wait

This is the one on the USB correct.

My bad. Two actually. C:/ and USB

On the safe mode menu are you able to select command prompt ?

It gets stuck at aswrvt.sys

We can try to use a standalone windows PE and see if that allows us access

Download Peazip to the desktop
Run and install the programme
As it installs this page will show, deselect the AVG ticks
Press decline and it will then install cleanly

[
]Your system should now display a Reatogo desktop.
[]Locate the flash drive and run FSRT
