BSOD caused by aswSnx.sys in Avast 8

Yesterday morning I logged a support ticket with Avast detailing how my Windows 7 PC had blue screened due to Avast trying to interact (presumably to scan or sandbox) with a remote mapped drive. I haven’t heard anything back yet, so I’m posting this here as well, in case it can be dealt with more quickly.
