PS: the verification letters are quite hard to read :o

What exact version of avast ?
Any other security (related) software installed ? (or was there)

Hi Eddy,

the current version is 17.5.2302 (build 17.5.3559.0).
I have no other security or similar software running.
CCleaner and Malwarebytes Anti-Malware version 2.2.1.1043 are installed for a full cleanup
Do you think this causes the crash?

regards,
Simon
