I have received the dreaded BSOD with this message: KERNEL_DATA_INPAGE_ERROR ntkrnlpa.exe. I used to be somewhat tech savvy, but I am just too old and burdened these days to figure this one out. Can someone advise? Avast is not finding anything except on full scan the attached screen cap. Thanks in advance!
Follow this guide and attach logs: http://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=53253.0
Dont copy and paste. This could be malware related or just be a Windows crash.
Run in order listed.

the files not found issue in your screenshot is just a scan error message
files not found error is usually gone if you reboot and scan again
Ummm…OTL keeps freezing on Firefox scan. Here are the other 2 logs. What to do about OTL?
FINALLY! Got OTL to finish the scans!

This way we will check what cause BSOD.

This program will try to verify the analysis, which is the cause of driver error.
Note: This program requires installation.
Double-click to start the installation, and click Next .
[*] Check I accept the agreement and then the Next .
The program install to that location, and under that name by the program you offer.
[*] Click Next and in the next window, click Next
[*] Check Create a Desktop Icon and then click Next and then Install .
After you’ve installed WhoCrashed program, run it.
Note: If you get message that it look like this:

Click Download the requested file from the Microsoft site now and wait for the process to
download additional files and installation is complete.
When the program starts, click Analyze .
When scanning is done, click OK .
[*] Right-click on the area of the page with the report and select Select All, .
[*] Right-click on the area of the page with the report and select copy
[*] Open a new Notepad and select past to copy the contents of the logo in the notepad.
Now you can close the program.
Please attach here notepad with that logreport.
Follow argus’s proposed cure to the dot.
After all has been cleared/cleansed up,
then you could consider the following additional procedure -
as it could be of some help.
You may have some bad clusters in your paging file.
Go to Start/Run and type chkdsk C: /R and press enter.
Now press Y and restart the computer.
The Check Disk Utility will try and fix any errors.
If all is to no avail here is some proposed method to circumvent from TSF Team’s Spunk.Funk:
You can right click My Computer/Properties/Advanced/Performance/Settings/Advanced/Virtual Memory/Change. change to NO Paging File.
Click Apply/OK. Run Check Disk again. Go to Start/Run and type chkdsk C: /R and press enter. Press a Y and reboot the computer.
Check Disk runs at startup. After the computer restarts go back and set the Paging File to System Managed.
Removing the paging file allows Check Disk to check that area of the HDD if bad clusters it will mark them as un-usable and not save data to them.

BSOD shows hardware problem, to test the first HDD.
Ummm…I showed some windows updates to be installed, so I shut down and restarted. When I cam back on it ran chkdsk on its own! WTF? I didn’t do it! What is going on? I checked performance and the attachment is what it showed. What is happening? Is someone in my computer?

Everytime I run OTL my system freezes when it is searching Firefox. Can I run in safemode? This last time it froze and I was left with a blank desktop. I am in safemode now. Also, do I use the same OTL parameters as before? The LOP & Purity? Thanks so much for your help!

Here is not problem malware sorry.
ookk…so why is it freezing with OTL? Why did it run chkdsk on it’s own? Any answers on that? Did anyone look at my other logs I submitted?? I appreciate all the pointers you have given me, but I am still left with no answers or even any direction to go. Pretty frustrating.
Can someone look at this Rogue Killer results for me? Please?
