BSOD - please help

Hi! My friend has Avast Free and Sandboxie on Windows XP and he got a BSOD today. This is the minidump file: http://www.woofiles.com/dl-274434-9qB6Mwel-badpoolheader.rar Could someone please take a look at it and see what is causing it? I don’t know if it’s Avast related or not. Thank you so much!

I’m sorry, I see that the link that I provided is not valid. I uploaded the dmp file here and renamed it to txt so that I was able to upload it in this post. Please take a look.

I found NirSoft’s BlueScreenView which showed that aswSnx.SYS driver caused the BSOD. This is an Avast file, right? It also mentions a file called ntoskrnl.exe, so what is this about and how do I prevent BSODs from happening? Please help! Thanx!

Hi Bellzemos

They can do nothing with a .txt file. Please email some of the latest .mdp files to kurtin ( at ) avast ( dot ) com with a link to this topic. You can blame me for it

The email should be kurtin(at)avast(dot)com.

Yeah sorry, a typo. I was in a hurry finishing things. Thnx

The upload process corrupts the file due to the extension change.
Upload the zipped file to the email provider or the ftp server.

I’ve sent the file to the email address you provided. I’m waiting for the answer now… Thank you!

Hm, I got no reply from Kurtin…
