Thank you for your time, hopefully there’s a solution to this.

No problems here with Win7-64bit HP and FF3.5. Not tried Chrome so can’t advise on that one. Haven’t updated to 3.6 because some of my add-ons are incompatible.

Why are you running Win7-32bit with 6Gig of Ram? It can only address 4Gb max, and that includes the Gfx card memory, so anything above that is just wasted.

Is it happening in general, or just on particular websites? Is it just on http:// or on https://, or both?

Did you install from scratch, or update from version 4?

More info, please

regards, Gizbar.

Running 32-bit because it was free from a friend of mine.

It’s been happening in general, no site in particular. I updated from Avast 4.8. Using Firefox 3.6 and Chrome 3.0.195.38.

Thanks for your time.

As reported on lots of occasions on here, a lot of people seem to be having problems updating from version 4.8 to version 5.

It might be easier to compleetely uninstall, use the aswclear tool to clear everything, and then install version 5 from scratch.

That seems to solve a lot of the problems on here, might help you too.

regards, Gizbar.

Thank you for your input, I will try this once I get off my lazy butt and get a 64-bit CD. I hope you have a nice day.
