BSOD

Hi,
I hope I’m requesting help in the right forum.

My Windows 7 64 machine will not boot.
I always encounter a BSOD
If I try to boot into safe mode it stops after loading aswRvrt…about 20 seconds later…BSOD.
A little research led me to this site and topics where similar problems were worked through.
Based on what I read, I started my PC using the Windows install CD, got to the command prompt and ran FRST64.
Attached is the FRST.txt it generated.
Can someone help me with "where do I go from here?

I hope I'm requesting help in the right forum.
If it is Virus or False Positive related, yes, if not, to late ;)

Was this after a windows update ?

Download the attached fixlist, txt to the same location as FRST
Run FRST as before and press fix
Once completed try a normal boot

Oh My God!!!
It appears to have worked!!
I’m sure you have some idea of the amount of work and frustration you’ve saved me from.
I can’t thank you enough

Are there any next steps you would recommend?

This may very well have happened after a windows update. I had to shut down since we had some people coming to do some work in the house and when I powered it back on…BSOD

It was the windows update, I removed the offending file

Glad it worked. I did not see the need to run any other scans

I’m using Avast (the free version).
Are there any other means of protection you recommend? I’ve seen Malwarebytes mentioned here and there. Is that something that is worth using in addition to Avast?

Now that you are clean, to help protect your computer in the future I recommend that you get the following free programmes:

CryptoPrevent install this programme to lock down and prevent crypto ransome ware

Malwarebytes.

Update and run weekly to keep your system clean

It is critical to have both a firewall and anti virus to protect your system and to keep them updated.
