Hello,
I don’t really know if it’s the right section but recently i installed avast antivirus in my PC, after restarting my pc i got the blue screen (bsod) with error code 0x0000007B. I tried searching but couldn’t find any other solution i also tried safemode but it also crashes.
I use windows 7

What was your previous AV and how was it removed?
This may help, How to Successfully Install Avast http://goo.gl/VLXde

It was AVG, i uninstalled it using control panel right before installing avast antivirus

If you cheek the directions, you’ll see that Programs and features isn’t sufficient,
Also, AVG is owned by Avast and offers the same protection and also supports Windows 7.

So what should i do now, i cant start the PC i keep getting the blue screen

Can you boot into safe mode?

No i can’t, I get the same blue screen even if i try to boot in safe mode.
and to make it even worse i don’t have a restore point set. If there’s a way i can reset without a windows disk then i would love to know it.

What was the original problem that made you decide to change from AVG to Avast?

Do you have access to another computer?

Yes i have.

What’s the answer here?

Here’s some additional information.
"STOP 0x0000007B errors are caused by device driver issues (especially those related to hard drive and other storage controllers),
viruses, data corruption, and sometimes even hardware failures.
The STOP 0x0000007B error will always appear on a STOP message, more commonly called a Blue Screen of Death (BSOD)
Here are the recommendations from Microsoft, https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2673509/you-receive-error-stop-error-code-0x0000007b-inaccessible-boot-device

I didn’t like it that’s all, there isnt any specific reason for that.

You used AVG for how long and, what did you use prior to AVG?
Since you can’t get to your system, you may need to get help here, https://forum.avast.com/index.php?board=4.0
Start your own topic and explain your problem.

I don’t understand what that has to do with my problem, i used AVG for like 5 days and i never used any antivirus before that.

It’s the not using an AV that might indicate an infection which is one of the reason listed for the error you’re receiving.
The experts at that section can also help you if you aren’t able t get to your system via the normal ways.

The viruses and worms sections is filled with experts who are better equipped to assist in repairing your system. The name is a bit misleading, as we’re capable of repairing most issues with a PC, regardless of what it’s related too.

Please post there, and I will fetch Sass Drake to assist in cleaning up the drivers and repairing any damaged ones. Your case is special in that we can’t use our normal tools as built, we’ll have to deploy them in a live environment.

Edit: I missed the original post by OP in the section. Disregard. I have asked Sass Drake and Magna86 to attend to the thread.

Thanks.
Hopefully a resolution will happen in the following thread, https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=231764.msg1533227#msg1533227
