Buffer over run with vista 32

I am using vista 32 bit and I cant get avast to work, it keeps coming up buffer over run, I have tried uninstalling it and the same thing happens, even tried deleting it in explorer and i can’t. I tried installing another anti virus program and now i have a conflict. Any advice?

Can you please tell us what exactly does the overrun message say, or post a screenshot of this error window maybe?
Thanks.

I am experiencing related issues with vista home premium.

VRDB fails to establish properly

Boot scan seems to function normally then fails at the very end of the scan. The system then freezes and forced shut down is needed. The system fails to start properly, startup repair fails; however system will ultimately boot normally if windows repair is bypassed.

Please, don’t post twice the same… just duplicate the help effort…
