Have you tried to reset the database ?
From your screenshot : Settings - Database reset (troubleshooting) - Reset database now
Greetz, Red.
I can confirm this. Reset of database doesn’t help.

Thanks for suggestion Rednose, and thanks for confirmation DJBone.
I also confirmed resetting database does not help.
I use the free version of Avast and this is all I see when checking for Outdated Programs:

Confirmed, 8.1 Pro 64bit, blank Software updater, exactly like Bob3160’s screenshot there.
To all you guys.
Does the log ( Show log ) show anything ?
My guess is that in the colom of INFO messages there should be WARN messages releated to your issue(s) as well.
Greetz, Red.
Here’s a sample of just one of the products it’s checking:
15/06/15 18:37:44 INFO: <1302> Product name: 7-Zip Filemanager (32 Bit)
15/06/15 18:37:44 INFO: <1302> REGISTRY_KEY = <SOFTWARE\7-Zip>
15/06/15 18:37:44 INFO: <1302> Current state = NOTINSTALLED
15/06/15 18:37:44 INFO: <1302> Product is not installed
Obviously, there’s a problem. This problem wasn’t there prior to the Avast update.
Resetting Databased Fixed mine
I had the same on my Win10 PC. Do you have already reseted your database? It worked for me.

Windows 10 using Avast IS:

Flash is fine but it has a problem with IE.
I also got blank screen. Resetting database solved it.
Edit: wrong information removed
Thanks for reporting. This is a bug, we will release fix in next beta.
Thanks MartinZ, waiting for next beta
