[BUG] Avast 2014 shows previous scan results as well

avast 9.0.2008 free x86 .

BUG - avast shows incorrect scan results, here is the workaround.

Step1.
Note: Before all, disable all shields until u complete these 4 steps.
otherwise the sample virus will be detected by Real time shield.

Download a sample virus file, let say EICAR. (fake virus)
http://www.eicar.org/download/eicar_com.zip
http://www.eicar.org/85-0-Download.html

Step 2.
Now extract the downloaded “eicar.com” file to a folder.
and scan via context menu (Explorer Scan). avast will detect it and move it to chest.

Step3. (Important step)
Now clean the avast scan history via
AVAST UI>>SETTINGS>>GENERAL>>“CLEAN SCAN HISTORY” button.

Step4.
Now again repeat the (Step 2) above process.
Put that virus (eicar.com) to some another folder.
Scan via context menu and avast will detect it again.
Now click on “Show results”.
Here you will notice that avast is showing scan result of previous scan along with new one. :o

it is the big problem. here avast should show current scan results only.

If someone can confirm this problem please write here.

thanks avast team! hope you guys will fix it in next version. ;D

Here is the small workaround to create this bug->

Scan a virus and send it to chest
Delete all scan history (important step)
Scan some other virus.
Now see scan results of second scan.

here is the exact message–>

Yes, although this issue is very minor we appreciate you sent us precious steps to reproduce because without it we are not able to reproduce it indeed. It seems it should be fixed in the next major release that should be during spring 2014. The case has been closed now.
