Bug in Latest Java Update (JRE6 Update 10)

Dear Avast Forum,

I got a call from a friend who could not access the chat function built in to the new yahoo email.

Apparently there is a problem with the latest Java update (JRE6 Update 10). The significant number of other people affected by the aforementioned is confirmed by a quick google search.

Does anybody know when Java (or Yahoo?) will remedy this error?

Come back to JRE6 Update 7… the stable release…

I will leave it on mine as there are few times when I actually need JAVA. One being Secunia and I have to jump through some hoops to get it to work with JRE6 update 10.
