@Avast Team: I have written this previously here is the link https://forum.avast.com/index.php?topic=178580.45 (see reply 47 and 48). I just knew right now that reply 47 has been reported). I want to now report my reply 48 as a bug. This occured the 1st day (yesterday) i installed Avast 2016 and on that same day in few hours or so that message wasn’t appearing and I was able to log in and log out as usual). At present, that same problem is still occurring even when I type my correct email address and password. I am writing this again, just in case the Avast team misses it. Here are the two attachments. Avast team please fix these. Thanks.

I can confirm the Update issue
Still not fixed.Server error is look like fixed.
Confirms update popup remains in Avast 2016 11.1.2241
I’ve even reported this to the Mods but still no fix. ![]()
The problem is present in all versions.

Thanks for getting back to me MiraDi. I have heard that the update issue will be fixed. On the other hand about the Avast Account GUI, if I disconnect my username from the Avast GUI (see attachment) and log in my avast account via the internet and log out. After that I log in back to my Avast account via Avast GUI I get that error message.
Somehow if i log in to my avast account via internet and log out and I log in avast account via avast gui it comes back to normal.

@miraDi: Sorry for getting back to you one day late… I was busy etc etc. Ok here is what I have observed so far. It could be magic or a bug. The attachment that i gave on reply#6. After that time I clicked on disconnect and so when clicked on disconnect my username still appears on the top right hand corner (that i covered by red colour). I then click deactivate and then I reactivate my avast protection and after I reactivate my avast protection at the top right hand corner it says sign in. So I sign in and the error message appears as shown on my very first post (1st attachment).
Now things that gets really interesting from here!!! When my avast account via avast gui says sign in in the top right hand corner and when I sign in to avast forum/avast account (via web) after few minutes/hours my username automatically re-appears on the top right hand corner of the avast gui. So all I need to do is to sign in by simply typing up my password and it signs me in and so I can see my avast account via Avast GUI. So now I have a big question for you? While signed in to avast account (via web) and to avast forum does the user’s username links up automatically with the Avast account via Avast GUI so it shows the username on the top right hand corner from the Avast GUI so a user only needs to type up the password and it allows to sign in and see the user’s avast account via the Avast GUI?
In the last version of Avast 2015 this issue wasn’t there. I could even disconnect my avast account via Avast GUI and sign in back via avast gui with no errors or problems.
By the way the update issue (as shown in the second attachment of my 1st reply) has now been fixed. Thanks for that.
