No. You cannot get avast on disc. But you can burn one
If you want to buy avast, you can contact your local dealer for better deals/rates: http://www.avast.com/locate-dealer

That would be me.
A newer version of avast! has already been released since I received the disc’s from Avast
So the version on the disc is now outdated.

You’re Welcome. I (we) have asked avast to release the cd version many times but they don’t want to.

(avast! Rescue CD) To my knowledge is not a free product and copying and distributing same would be Illegal. :o

@Bob, would that be illegal when an official reseller is offering it? ???

That depends on their contract I assume but I’m not an Attorney.
I know they can’t distribute it for free unless, they purchase it and then pass it along as a gift.

But there is no real difference from a disc or from downloading it from some other repository. The only “difference” is the media itself. Moreover, the reseller is making this offer publicly here, which is also a marketing tool.
The only problem would be selling it and taking the credit for the product, while adding an illegal “license” file. That would be definitely illegal. But the official reseller wouldn’t be doing that, do they?

The problem isn’t selling it. He is a Reseller the problem is giving it away and his post didn’t indicate selling anything.
I guess it comes down to interpretation of the post and ultimately what the reseller is conveying in his post.

Bob, now I’m sincerely confused. You mention distributing Avast in a disc as illegal:
To my knowledge is not a free product and copying and distributing same would be Illegal
but you were referring to the Rescue Disc product. The reseller mentioned “all” Avast programs, updated in one disc.
The offered disc (in NZ) would be an alternative way to get all the available programs, instead of downloading them one by one. Or maybe I misunderstood?
I would guess that it is possible that one specific program would not be available for free distribution (for example, from repositories, or even from Avast’s website without more info from the potential client). But this is an official reseller offering it (which BTW could clarify this situation / questions for all of us).
So what exactly could be potentially illegal? I’m just trying to understand.

Bob, now I'm sincerely confused. You mention distributing Avast in a disc as illegal:
No I didn’t ;D Re-read my initial post:

Well, I quoted your own post, and I even explain the difference between “Avast” (Free/Pro/AIS/business…) and “Avast Rescue disc” in that context. So I already read it, more than once.
Anyway, I’m going to wait for the reseller to comment, or not.
Thanks.

im talking about burning a avast! Rescue CD (it has all the versions on the disk), im not talking about burning a Retail version of the disk
If you are a reseller of avast you have access into avast’s system, and on there downloads page in that system it says the following.
avast! Rescue CD download reseller should burn the DVD and post it to the customer’s postal address directly.

The (avast! Rescue CD) I referred to is a commercial product.
So I guess we’re talking about two different products.
