Well I did learn something already from this forum, thanks !
I learned that emails from Avast support are typically treated as “spam” by gmail. Worse still, if gmail files it as “spam” then retrieving by POP doesn’t happen. As I typically read email as retrieved by POP I didn’t even have visibility of my gmail spam folder.
So I was unfair to say that Avast had ignored this problem, sorry for that. I am now talking to support, will post findings when it becomes clear we reached the end of the road (maybe we are there already).
